Description

Welcome to Voyces 2020. We've created an exciting program of contemporary choral music and excited to be sharing it with you. Our 4-concert package comes with some great added benefits including priority seating, a complimentary drink and access to other subscriber-only benefits. We have 4 events lined up in 2020:

Love
1st May, 7:30pm | Government House Ballroom

Our first concert of 2020 is called Love. We'll sing works that celebrate love in all forms: familial, romantic, platonic and so many more. Love has inspired many great artists and we look forward to sharing some exceptional choral works with you.

Trad
6th September, 6:00pm | Government House Ballroom

Traditional music is as broad as it is wonderful. In this engaging concert, Voyces will explore modern interpretations of traditional music from across the world.

Voyces Studio
16th October, 7:30pm | Government House Ballroom Supper Room

As proponents of contemporary choral music, Voyces aims to develop the contemporary choral repertoire and encourage emerging composers to hone their skills. Voyces Studio is a new project that gives emerging Western Australian composers the opportunity to work with us to present newly written pieces for unaccompanied choir.

Christmas
18th December, 7:30pm | The Chapel Christ Church Grammar School

Christmas is a wonderful time of year for choirs and audiences alike. The festive season has a unique way of bringing audiences and choirs together. We will continue our tradition of performing an engaging blend of old and new Christmas music that is sure to get you in the festive mood!

Artist in Residence

Voyces is delighted to be the the first Government House Foundation’s Artists in Residence for 2020, performing in the Ballroom. Our first two concerts of 2020 will be performed in this grand venue and will make full use of the wonderful architectural options and acoustics. Voyces Studio will take place in the Supper Room of the Ballroom. We will also be performing in Nuit Blanche as part of the Government House Foundation's Music on the Terrace program and will sing at an event for the members of the Foundation.

The seating at Government House Ballroom is on cushioned seats and is general admission. There are no reserved seats.

Tickets & Pricing

We have gathered such wonderful support since our inception in 2011. We have been able to keep our ticket prices steady in previous years but, like most industries, the cost of running Voyces is increasing. With this fact and the knowledge that funding is becoming increasingly competitive in mind, we have marginally increased our ticket costs to $40 (for regular tickets), $25 (for all valid concessions) and $15 (for school age children). These ticket prices include the booking fee from our ticketing partner (SimpletTix), so there are no additional charges.

Once you have purchased your subscription, your tickets for each event will be emailed to you by SimpleTix. It could take up to 30mins for your tickets to be emailed, and if you don't receive them please check your junk/spam folder. If you still haven't received them, send us an email to info@voyces.com.au and we will reissue your tickets to you.

Questions

If you have any questions, then you are most welcome to get in touch via email (info@voyces.com.au), Facebook or by calling us on 6382 1349.

We look forward to seeing you in 2020!
